Description

This moon image is one day past the Hunter's Full Moon. It is considered a super moon although that is not an astronomical term. The technical name is the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system. It occurs when the full moon, or in this case just past full moon, coincides with the nearest the moon is to earth on its elliptical path.
